Ads on OddOne?
I had to explain it
You might have noticed ads that are being displayed. That is nothing to worry about, as ads have been excluded during the gameplay. Only time you will be seeing ads is when you want to create a room and or join a room. However, during gameplay, you will not see a single ad!
How to play?
Game tutorial & How to get started
Welcome to "OddOne", a game of deduction, deception, and fun! Follow these detailed instructions to ensure everyone knows how to play and enjoy the game. The game is simple so it should be a walk in the park!
Objective
The main objective of the game is to identify the impostor among the players while the impostor tries to blend in and deceive others.
Setup
The game is best played with 3, 4 or more players and the game with 2 or less players is simply not allowed. Also OddOne is only played with friends or people you know personally.
Once everyone has joined in, the admin or the creator of the room can press the orange "Play" button and start the game.
GamePlay
After the game starts, in this case, 2 of the 3 players will be regular players, while one of them will be an impostor. Regular players will be asked same questions while the impostor will be asked something completely different.
What player3 and player1 see:
What player2 (impostor) sees:
After the selected amout of rounds end, it's time for a discussion.
Dicussion time!
So far no one knew if they are the impostor but once the questions show up and they see that those are not the same questions they answered, that means they are the impostor and they have to lie and make excuses to why they answered the way they did to a completely different question to them.
After the discussion, players get to vote and if they vote out the wrong player, they lose and the impostor gets 10 points. However if regular players vote out the impostor, they get 5 points each.
For example, let's say the regular players vote out the impostor. Now when they see if they have won or lost the game and the game restarts, each player can see how many points they have on the score board.
This pretty much explains how to play the game but the best way to understand it is to play it. So what are you waiting for? Create a room, give your friends a code so they can join and enjoy the chaos that is about to happen.
Other roles
Beside regular player and the impostor, there are also other roles you can try out. Here is a list of them and explaination of what they do!
Jester
This is a regular player role and it has an objective to get voted out. In case jester gets voted, everyone loses and only Jester gets the points.
Blender
This is an impostor role in which you can blend in more with other players by having to answer one question that regular players are answering as well.
Confused
This is a regular player role in which you get to answer one question that the impostor is answering. You still have to vote out the impostor to win though.
Independent
You get to vote independently. Even if the impostor wins, you still get points if you voted for the impostor. However you will lose points if you vote for someone who is not an impostor, regardless if impostor wins or not.
What about rules?
Game tutorial & How to get started
Here are some basic rules every player should follow when playing OddOne. It's nothing much and it is easily rememberable.
1. When answering questions, each player must be quiet and shouldn't say anything about the question he is being asked by the game.
2. This game doesn't promote lying. In case you don't want to lie to your friends, you can just admit that you are the impostor. However the point of the game is to deceive others.
3. Have fun (Most important rule out of all).
